The New New Kelis

Anyone who knows me intimately, knows that I love Kelis. They may not understand why, but they are surely aware. Moving on...I am happy that she is coming out with another album but very upset that I have to wait until June.
Actually, this release seems fairly quick since her personal life has been splattered all over the music media. Yes, just like the good entertainment industry that you are (patting them on the head and rubbing their bellies).
Since she is one of my favs, I would like to add my opinion on the morbid topic of interfering with her personal life - I wish she and Nas could have stayed together, but if you gotta go, then you gotta go. No one can truly understand what happened other than those two. As far as baby Knight, perhaps his mom was malicious in the way she got her child support, or perhaps we will never know and should stop speculating and calling names.
On another note...this new album is taking a different approach (which she always tries to do anyway) and going with a "club, techno" sort of sound (my opinion and not her description). I like it.

A thousand years ago Kelis did an interview and said "my job [as an artist] is to bring you things that you don't even know you like yet". Completely true. Other artists (cough) have blatantly taken her fashion style and some have emulated her music style (notice I didn's say singing).

Well, I guess I am supposed to enjoy the following single until then. BTW - I have "They Say" with her and Kid Cudi but couldn't find an embed for you. Instead, I'll keep rocking it in your name...
